Privacy policy
Effective 12 October 2026
MASSE is a music app for iPhone. It collects no personal data.
WHAT MASSE DOES NOT DO
- There is no account, sign-in or registration.
- There are no analytics, crash reports, advertising or tracking.
- MASSE has no servers. Apart from iCloud sync (below), which goes through Apple, it makes no network connections.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE
Your songs, sounds, patterns, samples and recordings are saved inside the app, on your iPhone. If you back up your iPhone (to iCloud or a computer), they are part of that backup, under Apple's terms. Deleting the app deletes them from the phone; songs synced to iCloud stay there until you delete them in MASSE.
ICLOUD
If you're signed in to iCloud, MASSE keeps a copy of your songs in MASSE's private folder in your own iCloud, so they appear on your other iPhones. They are stored by Apple under your Apple Account, and only your devices can read them; the maker of MASSE can't see them. Turn it off in MASSE under ARCHIVE › SONGS, or in Settings › your name › iCloud.
MICROPHONE
MASSE uses the microphone only while you record a VOICE sound or a MIC track. The recording is saved on your iPhone and is never sent anywhere. You can turn microphone access off in Settings › MASSE.
MIDI
MIDI devices you connect are used only to play notes and controls inside MASSE.
SHARING
Files leave your iPhone only when you export or share them yourself, for example through AirDrop, Files or Messages. What happens to them after that depends on where you send them.
CHILDREN
MASSE does not collect data from anyone, children included.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
